The TRUE story behind The Photography Course
I've never told you this before.

Several years ago after I'd worked my arse off for over decade making all the idiot mistakes a photographer could possibly make, people started to ask me if I could teach them how to take photos like I did.
So I made an online course that would hopefully answer these questions for them, and conveniently I started releasing it just months before COVID hit and suddenly indoors was the place to be.
But let me be real with you here. I didn't want to make some "course" on photography at all.
If I haven't told you this already, I myself use to be a really really poor student. By the end of highschool I noticed I'd somehow gotten worse rather than smarter, and thereafter I became highly allergic to anyone who wanted to "teach" me something. Although I loved photography to death and wanted to become a pro or otherwise die, I WOULD NOT take a course on photography.
"School kills the soul", "it's a trap", "it's a waste of money", "you don't learn anything useful", I had developed all these negative ideas about formal education and a whole lot more.
So......
when people started asking me to make a course on how to be a cool photographer, I was like.... shit.
So this is exactly what I did:
I wrote down on a single piece of paper a list of the names of all the videos I was going to record on each part of the subject of photography.
No written data or script or preparation whatsoever.
Just the title name of each of the videos that would make up my photography "course".
Then I set up my video camera in a room where I was staying at the time in London, I pressed record, and from that point onwards was "my course".
If you rewatch the very first intro video in The Photography Course you will see me walk in and sit down in that chair and I'm just laughing with glee because I DON'T KNOW HOW THE F*** I'M GOING TO TEACH A "COURSE".
And every video which follows that is just me, totally unscripted, talking straight from the heart, unfiltered, swear words galore, trying to tell YOU how I did it in the simplest and funnest way I could come up with.
And what was the result?
THOUSANDS of students now doing my total of 4 online courses which I offer. And countless glowing success stories and tons of beautiful photos taken by my students who proved to themselves that THEY CAN DO IT TOO.
I don't give a f*ck about selling you a course. I care that YOU. CAN. DO. IT.
And that attitude is threaded all throughout The Photography Course.
What's more cool, which ill fill you in on, is that in the 5 or so years since I released that course, I've only had ONE refund.
How did it happen?
Middle aged lady decided to do my course, sent me an email shortly afterwards and said "Hi Luke. Your course is very good but I'm sorry but I just cannot stand how much you swear in it so I won't be able to continue."
Well I very much appreciated her honesty so I refunded her and let her keep the course as well.
So that being said, DON'T BUY THIS COURSE IF YOU DON'T LIKE SWEARING. I now include a notice on the course website as well.
Anyway that's kind of all I have to tell you here. If you want full details of what the course includes, AND IT'S A LOT, then head to the website to find out.
So like I said. This ain't no "COURSE", bud. It's literally YOU, ME, alone in a room together and I'm real-talking the shit out of the subject of photography until YOU GET IT. THAT'S HOW I LIKE TO "TEACH".
Much love, and thank you for listening. Let me know if you have any questions or want any help.
Luke
