Magic of Light

When you've practiced your art enough, when you've made all the mistakes (and understand WHY they are mistakes), when almost nothing at all surprises you anymore and you know for sure that when you go "blah" the thing will go "bling", THAT'S when you can show up and make apparent MAGIC occur.

Just like how a magician can make apparently the impossible occur right in front of people's eyes, so can a photographer (or any artist well-practiced) awe people almost at will.

But the reason behind this is not some "trick" at all. It is simply competence to a very high level. And true competence takes time and must be sweated for. It takes one's passion and love for a subject to really make them persist to the point where they truly can say to themselves that they know it, and with that you will have then mastered that small part of the universe as a whole.

Although people pray for fast success and a big win at minimum effort, alas there is no such thing as I've found. But you work your f***ing arse off, and THAT'S how you win at anything you wish to achieve.
